chimborazo is an inactive volcano located in the cordillera range in the andes of central ecuador.

Chimborazo, being “only” 6,263 m (20,548 ft) high, is not the highest mountain in the world, but its location along the equatorial bulge makes its summit the farthest point on the Earth's surface from the Earth's center.
