cho oyu, with the height of 8,188 metres (26,864 ft), is the 6th highest mountain in the world. it’s located on the china-nepal border, in the Khumbu sub-section of the Mahalangur Himalaya, only 20 km to the west of Mount everest.
Cho Oyu was first climbed in 1954 by an Austrian expedition, and today it’s considered the easiest Eight-thousander to climb.
