where is MAUNA KEA

MAUNA KEA IS ABOUT ONE MILLION YEARS OLD VOLCANO. IT IS A DORMANT VOLCANO THAT IS 4207 METERS (13,802 FT) ABOVE THE SEA LEVEL AND IT IS THE TALLEST PEAK IN HAWAII. IT IS ON THE LARGEST OF HAWAII ISLANDS, OAHU, ABOUT 300 KM (190 MILES) AWAY FROM HONOLULU.

The mountain is mostly underwater.  When measured from the base to the summit, the height is over  10000 meters (33,000 ft) and that even beats Mount Everest.  Still, Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world when it comes to above the sea level height.
